🌿 What is Moringa good for?
Moringa is a nutrient-rich plant that naturally contains vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and plant protein. It is commonly used as part of a healthy diet to support general wellness, energy, healthy digestion and nutritional intake.
Moringa may help support:
🌱 General health and wellbeing
⚡ Energy and vitality
🛡️ Antioxidant protection
💪 Normal muscle and body function
🥬 Nutritional intake as part of a balanced diet
❤️ Maintaining healthy cholesterol levels already within the normal range
Important: Moringa is a food supplement and should not be presented as a treatment or cure for medical conditions.
High blood pressure
If you take high-blood-pressure (hypertension) medication, don’t start Moringa capsules without first checking with your doctor or pharmacist.
Diabetes
If you take insulin or tablets such as gliclazide/metformin, ask your doctor or pharmacist before using concentrated moringa supplements.
🌿 Moringa may have an effect on blood sugar, but evidence in humans is still limited.
It should not replace diabetes medication, insulin, or a prescribed diet.
⚠️ If someone takes diabetes medication, combining it with moringa could potentially make blood sugar too low, so monitoring is important.
If using moringa regularly, discuss it with a doctor or pharmacist, especially if taking insulin or tablets such as metformin, gliclazide, or glimepiride.
Asthma
Yes—moringa capsules may be taken by some people alongside asthma medicines, but safety depends on the exact asthma medication and your other medicines. There isn't enough clinical research to say that moringa is universally safe with all asthma treatments.

If you use a salbutamol inhaler (Ventolin)
There is no documented interaction currently known between moringa and salbutamol, but the evidence is limited, so this isn't a guarantee of safety.

If you use steroid asthma medicine
For example, prednisone/prednisolone or steroid inhalers, I'd recommend checking with a pharmacist or doctor before starting regular moringa. Moringa can potentially affect how some medicines are metabolised, although the clinical importance isn't well established.

Important
Don't stop or reduce your asthma inhaler because you're taking moringa.
Moringa has not been proven to control or prevent asthma attacks.

Stop moringa and seek medical help if you develop rash, swelling of the lips/tongue, or worsening breathing, because allergic reactions to moringa have been reported.

Cancer
Moringa leaves contain antioxidants and other plant compounds that are being studied for possible anticancer effects.
There is currently no good clinical evidence that moringa capsules or powder can prevent, cure, or treat cancer in people.
Moringa should not replace chemotherapy, radiation, surgery, immunotherapy, or prescribed cancer medicines.
If someone is receiving cancer treatment, they should tell their oncologist before taking moringa because supplements can potentially affect medicines or treatment.
Arthritis
Moringa may help with some arthritis symptoms, but it is not a proven treatment for arthritis.
🌿 Inflammation: Moringa contains compounds with anti-inflammatory activity. Most evidence comes from laboratory and animal studies; human evidence is still limited.
🦴 Joint pain: Some small human studies suggest possible improvement in pain or inflammation, but there isn't enough evidence to recommend moringa as an arthritis treatment.
💊 If taking arthritis medication: Check with a doctor or pharmacist before using moringa regularly, particularly if you take several medicines.
